Nandi is a symbol of eternal waiting and represents power and resilience.
Our Hindu-inspired bull, Nandi, was co-created with the Shree Swaminarayan Mandir Oldham and the Oldham Hindu Community. He was made using repurposed sari fabrics, Indian decorative elements and is puppeteered using Indian bells to create a gentle, magical mood.
Nandi glows with warm light for evening performances and is equally colourful/ striking during the day. His large form moves steadily and gracefully through any parade.
He is a Brahman bull or Indian ox.
