CarFest

It’s been almost a decade since CarFest North and South began supporting children’s charities, and we’ve loved every minute of our involvement. (Just don’t mention the Chris Evans incident)

We’ve been running workshops at CarFest North and South since 2017. With our help, families have had fun making cardboard cars, hats, flags, an F1 car, a giant octopus, windsocks, traffic wardens… you name it, we’ve made it!

And the best thing about CarFest? The Sunday CARnival! Once families have made their props and costumes in our workshops, it’s out on site with the best CARnival in town! Our drummers and dancers get the crowds dancing, many strutting their new-found stuff, developed in our earlier workshops.

Oh, and we’ve also had our brush with fame at CarFest – which could’ve ended in disaster. It might have been a case of nerves in front of a large audience, but Tyrone thought Chris Evans looked rather tasty and tried to eat him! Oops!
