During 2020 and the COVID-19 crisis, Global Grooves invested in extra capacity to help freelancers apply for funding and even launched our own Crowdfunder to create an emerging pot for creatives who ‘fell between the cracks’.
We’ve maintained this support right through the pandemic, providing a lifeline to over 40 freelance artists and small arts organisations, helping them together secure well over £200,000 in funding, much of which has gone directly back into their creative work with the most vulnerable communities.
